Wenzhou Longwan International Airport in Wenzhou is set to open a new air route connecting Wenzhou and Madrid in November.
Statistics show that from January to September this year, the airport served 9.01 million passengers and handled 76,800 metric tons of cargo.
The airport has steadily reopened international airlines, including to destinations like Phnom Penh, Bangkok, and Seoul, totaling nine international passenger routes and four cargo routes.
The upcoming Wenzhou-Madrid route, the city's third intercontinental one, will be operated on Wednesdays and Saturdays by China Eastern Airlines. It is expected to provide crucial support for economic and tourism ties between Wenzhou and Europe.
