Wenzhou is updating business administrative processes with its new electronic business license system. The system allows companies to handle their affairs swiftly and efficiently using a single, unique "enterprise code" platform.
Through the WeChat-based "electronic business license" mini programs, companies can complete water, electricity, and gas service applications in minutes, removing the burden of multiple visits to utility branches.
The enterprise code serves as a unified pass for different fields of services, covering license registration, document inquiries, loan financing, and more.
The intuitive platform is supported by a complex system. It incorporates 18 business-related functions, minimizing redundant submissions and data entry and automatically verifying and cross-checking data.
The electronic business license system has even been used for financial services that are accessible at 50 bank branches. Businesses now can perform various banking tasks online, from account opening to loan financing, without in-person document submission.
This progressive approach shifts the business operation model from document-based to code-based. The enterprise code platform has already been used over 1.25 million times so far.
