"Romance on the Farm" broadcasted on streaming platform iQiyi has been making waves. The series prominently features authentic rural scenes filmed in Wenzhou's Yongjia county, particularly in Yantan town and Yubei ancient village.

"Romance on the Farm" unfolds against an ancient farming backdrop, a rarity in China's entertainment landscape. It tells the tale of a modern college student, played by Tian Xiwei, who, through an ultra-realistic experience system, journeys into a village in the Song Dynasty (960-1279), where she partners with the enigmatic Shen Nuo, portrayed by Zeng Shunxi, embarking on a farming adventure that leads to family prosperity.

The show's visual charm is enriched by picturesque rural landscapes, billowing wheat fields, and vibrant, authentic village scenes, which is a real shot of the Jijia village and Yantan town, the primary setting situated in villages of Yongjia county.

Jijiazhai village plays a pivotal role in the series. Nestled amidst rugged mountains, the village satiates viewers with a glimpse of century-old architectural heritage, devoid of contemporary industrial sway.

During location scouting, the production team visited numerous ancient villages but found Jijiazhai village to be ideal. Before shooting, the team meticulously arranged scenes to capture the period drama's essence. Local villagers also actively participated in the filming process.

Since its debut on Oct 14, the series has garnered strong ratings. Capitalizing on the show's success, the village is planning off-screen events to invite viewers and enthusiasts to immerse themselves in the charm of the Song Dynasty.
