Wenzhou, renowned for its warmth and commitment, stands as one of China's pioneering national-level child-friendly cities, garnering praise for its innovative approach to urban development.
With a vision of "viewing the city from a height of one meter," Wenzhou has prioritized policy, services, rights, space, environment, and industry. Since 2021, the city has been a frontrunner in comprehensive child-friendly urban planning in accordance with the 14th Five-Year Plan (2021-2025).

Wenzhou's groundbreaking efforts include the establishment of a child-friendly city development index, evaluating the performance of 22 categories and 98 indicators and showcasing its distinctive child-friendly industry and satisfaction with urban development.
In transforming urban spaces, Wenzhou has created child-friendly environments, including a skateboard park and safety signs customized for children. Public services have been revamped with shared bikes, nursery rooms, and child-friendly bus routes.
Health and education are paramount, with initiatives like the "Bright Eyes and White Teeth" project providing free vision and oral health check-ups for 110,000 students annually.
The city's business sector actively supports child-friendly endeavors. Mingchun Group, which invested in a sightseeing ranch for children, and other enterprises contribute to Wenzhou's holistic child-friendly urban development. And this support will in turn benefit business growth in the city.
