Nestled on the northwest border of Yongjia county lies Jiekeng township, a serene place that is untouched by the bustling environment downtown.

The township has historically been a key transportation corridor for salt. To this day, memorials of post houses for salt merchants are maintained to mark this part of history.

Blessed with a picturesque landscape, a locale sits at the source of Xiaonan Brook surrounded by mountains. In recent years, Jiekeng township has developed four major agricultural industries, cultivating peaches, tea leaves, zizania aquatica and pond fish.
