The national 5A-level Taishun Lounge Bridge Radon Spring Tourist Resort in Wenzhou's Taishun county held a ceremony to confer its 5A rating on Dec 11.
The resort, renowned for its rare high-temperature, self-flowing radon springs, is considered a precious gem in the ecological landscape of Taishun.
The clinical records highlight the therapeutic benefits of radon baths on various bodily functions, including cardiovascular, nervous system, metabolic, and endocrine functions. An impressive 93.7 percent cure rate for skin diseases and an 83 percent cure rate for joint ailments attest to the effectiveness of these unique springs.
Significant positive effects have also been observed in treating conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic gynecological diseases, as well as gastric and duodenal ulcers.

To safeguard the scarcity of radon springs, Taishun took proactive measures as early as 1992 by establishing a county-level natural protection zone to preserve and protect these valuable resources.
In 1997, it was elevated to a provincial-level natural protection zone, becoming the sole natural protection area in the province and even the nation dedicated to safeguarding geothermal resources.
