A YTO Cargo Airlines plane, laden with 100 containers of Chinese goods, departed from Wenzhou Longwan International Airport for Hanoi on Dec 31, 2023. This was the first flight of the new Wenzhou-Hanoi international freight route, opening up a promising new logistics channel between Wenzhou and Vietnam.

Wenzhou, a coastal city in Zhejiang province, boasts a unique geographical location and industrial advantages, giving it great potential to play a key role in economic and trade cooperation with Vietnam. The new freight route will provide more convenient and efficient logistics services for both sides, enabling faster and easier access to each other's markets.

Utilizing the B757-200F model capable of carrying 28 metric tons of cargo, the freight route operates daily return flights back to Wenzhou It departs Hanoi at 1:30 pm, with a scheduled arrival in Wenzhou every afternoon at 4:30 pm.

The launch of the freight route has also filled a gap in air freight routes between Wenzhou and Southeast Asia in general. It holds paramount  significance for Wenzhou airport's ambition to evolve into a regional air hub and better serve the development of Wenzhou's economy.
