On Dec 28, Forbes China announced the 2023 China 30 Under 30 list. Wenzhou-born swimmer Pan Zhanle, who is 19 years old, and badminton player Zheng Siwei, who is 26 years old, were among the honorees.

The average age of this year's listees was 27.8 years, slightly younger than last year's average age of 28.2.

The educational backgrounds and gender ratio of the listees were almost consistent with last year. More than half of the U30 members had graduate or master's degrees, and women accounted for 25.2 percent of the total.

This year's U30 mainly involved three major categories: industrial manufacturing, enterprise technology and retail; sports and health, education and social enterprise; and art, science and investment.

Most listees – 15 of them to be exact – this year came from the industrial manufacturing and energy environmental protection fields. This was followed by entertainment and sports, enterprise technology, and art fashion, with 13 listed people each.
