The Wenzhou Sam's Club was topped out on Jan 9, bringing the store one step closer to completion.
Sam's Club is a high-end membership store owned by Walmart, one of the world's top 500 companies, and has more than 800 stores worldwide.
The Wenzhou Sam's Club is located in Lucheng district. It consists of a commercial supermarket and a 23-story office tower, with a total area of nearly 140,000 square meters and a construction period of three years.
"The Sam's Club building has been topped out and is expected to open in 2025," explained the person in charge of the site. The workers optimized the construction process and achieved the topping out in only half a year, ahead of schedule.
The Sam's Club building will also have a rooftop parking lot with more than 150 spaces and install photovoltaic panels, making it the first mall in Wenzhou to include such features.
After construction is completed, it will become the largest and most stocked department store in Zhejiang province. It will also improve the supporting services in the area, stimulate the first store economy, and drive new consumption in Wenzhou.
