A myriad of activities celebrating the Lantern Festival kicked off at the Wenzhou Central Park on Feb 22. From crafting blessing scrolls to donning traditional hanfu attire and savoring local delicacies, the market buzzed with excitement.

Of particular note were three foreign guests who eagerly joined the festivities, immersing themselves in the cultural experiences.

The three English teachers from the Victoria Kindergarten in Yueqing — Andrianarisoa Tojo Martini, Chiripanyanga Liberty Munyaradzi, and Andriantsiferantsoa Ep Remanevy Njavatiana — marveled at Yueqing's craftsmanship, showing particular interest in tie-dye fabrics and sugar painting.

"I like it!" exclaimed Liberty, from Zimbabwe. He expressed his interest in tie-dye fabrics, praising the exquisite craftsmanship and practicality of the items, which can be made into pillows, handbags, and clothes.

They also immersed themselves in hanfu fashion, adding an extra layer of cultural immersion to their Lantern Festival experience.
