The 32nd East China Fair (ECF) began in Shanghai on March 1st, boasting a record-high participation of 102 Wenzhou companies, occupying 136 booths.
The four-day event is China's largest trade fair for textile, apparel, and light industrial products, covering 126,500 square meters, with specialized exhibitions and sections for international and e-commerce businesses.
Wenzhou's exhibitors predominantly feature in sections like fashion clothing, textile materials, household items, and decorative gifts. Products on display range from belts, sunglasses, blankets, and sports shoes to fashionable bags, gift boxes, and non-woven bags.
To enhance brand visibility, 32 booths in the E3 pavilion's daily consumer goods area have been specially crafted to present a unified image of Wenzhou.
January saw the launch of an initiative to support local businesses in international exhibitions, leading to Wenzhou eyewear companies securing $200 million in potential orders at the Milan Eyewear Exhibition. By mid-February, over 400 companies participated in 26 overseas exhibitions, with intentions to order exceeding $270 million.
In March, nearly 200 companies will target eight traditional industries, including footwear, electrical, clothing and eyewear industries, at 16 major exhibitions, aiming for over $100 million in potential orders. The city is also enhancing open policies, optimizing subsidy terms, and improving entry and exit measures to facilitate international business.
