Wenzhou saw a significant boost in its foreign trade in the first quarter of 2024, with photovoltaic component exports climbing to 90.54 million yuan ($12.49 million), a 13.3 percent increase from last year.
Yueqing Chint Solar Technology Co Ltd led the surge with exports over 60 million yuan. The n-TOPCon, a high-efficiency n-type photovoltaic cell component, is spearheading the charge, setting the stage to become the new norm in the photovoltaic market due to its superior power generation and bifacial rates.
Electric vehicles, lithium-ion batteries and photovoltaic products are emerging as Wenzhou's fresh foreign trade growth points.
Wenzhou Customs is actively fostering this growth by collaborating with local departments to provide tailored export development measures and policy guidance. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to empower Wenzhou manufacturers to expand their global footprint, ensuring that the city's manufacturing prowess is felt worldwide.
