The 2024 ITF World Tennis Masters Tour MT400 Wenzhou kicked off at the Wenzhou International Tennis Center on April 25, marking the second time the prestigious event has been held in Longwan, Wenzhou.
The tournament attracted hundreds of tennis players from countries such as China, the United States, Canada, Germany, and Australia, with the oldest participant more than 70 years old.
Local officials expressed their hope that players will forge friendships on the court, and residents can enjoy top-tier tennis matches near their home. Simultaneously, they expect the tournament will foster continued cooperation and exchange within the tennis community.
The ITF World Tennis Masters caters to tennis players aged 30 and above, encouraging both elite athletes and recreational players to participate. With over 30,000 registered players worldwide, this international event spans more than 70 countries and regions, hosting over 500 tournaments annually. Participants can earn international ranking points provided by the International Tennis Federation.
