In the first quarter of 2024, the average per capita disposable income for Wenzhou residents was 20,362 yuan ($2,821.19), an increase of 5.2 percent year-on-year.
Urban residents had an average disposable income of 23,482 yuan, up 4.6 percent, while that of rural residents was 13,245 yuan, up 6.6 percent. The income ratio of urban to rural residents steadily narrowed, decreasing from 1.81 to 1.77 compared to the same period last year.
The wage income per capita for all residents was 10,711 yuan, a 5.2-percent increase over the previous year and accounting for 52.6 percent of the average disposable income. Urban and rural residents had average wages of 12,418 yuan and 6,815 yuan, respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 4.6 percent and 6.6 percent.
The average net operating income for all residents stood at 3,752 yuan, a 5-percent uptick and accounting for 18.4 percent of the average disposable income. Urban and rural residents had average net operating incomes of 3,875 yuan and 3,472 yuan, respectively, with year-on-year growth rates of 4.3 percent and 6.6 percent.
The average net property income for all residents was 2,986 yuan, up 4.8 percent and comprising 14.7 percent of the average disposable income. Urban and rural residents saw average net property incomes of 3,831 yuan and 1,059 yuan, respectively, with year-on-year rises of 4.1 percent and 5.9 percent.
Lastly, the average net transfer income for all residents was 2,913 yuan, up 5.8 percent from the previous year and representing 14.3 percent of the average disposable income. Urban and rural residents reached average net transfer incomes of 3,357 yuan and 1,900 yuan, respectively, with increases of 5.2 percent and 7.1 percent.
