The 22nd edition of the Wenzhou International Optics Fair is set to be held from May 10 to 12 at the Wenzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center.
This year's event has expanded to cover an area of 50,000 square meters, featuring seven exhibition halls with over 700 exhibitors from around the globe. The fair will spotlight the latest in eyewear technology, production, and retail advancements, alongside innovative applications of artificial intelligence, biotech, and sustainability within the industry.
Data from the organizers indicates that approximately 2,000 international buyers from nearly 90 countries are expected to attend, with leading brands poised to attract thousands of professional buyers. The fair has been instrumental in securing international orders, a testament to its importance in the eyewear industry.
Wenzhou, dubbed "China's capital of eyewear", has evolved from a workshop-style industry in the 1970s to a key manufacturing base, aspiring to become a world-class eyewear cluster. The fair, founded in 2003 and UFI-certified, is Wenzhou's pioneering exhibition. It is becoming one of the top three export-oriented trade fairs in the global eyewear manufacturing industrial chain.
During the fair, a series of global trade matchmaking sessions will facilitate direct negotiations between international buyers and exhibitors, further solidifying Wenzhou's position in the global eyewear market.
