Yangtze River Delta summit held in Wenzhou

In an unprecedented move, the 2024 Yangtze River Delta Leaders' Summit convened in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province on June 5.

The meeting aimed to deepen integration within the YRD region. High-ranking officials from Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui, along with national authorities, regional experts, and business leaders, gathered to discuss strategies for synchronized development.

The two-day event included nine key sessions. The first day featured a private meeting of principal leaders and the YRD Entrepreneurs Union meeting. The agenda for June 6 included the YRD Integration High-level Forum, a session to unveil new initiatives, and an ecological collaboration meeting.

This summit serves as a pivotal forum for deliberating and determining the YRD's strategic direction. It focuses on identifying collaborative projects, signing new agreements, and announcing joint achievements. The discussions are expected to enhance regional connectivity and promote economic synergy, contributing to China's overarching modernization efforts.

Wenzhou's hosting of the summit underscores its growing importance in the YRD's integration, setting a precedent for future collaboration and high-quality growth within the region.
