Wenzhou Museum's innovative bilingual video, A History of the Millennium Commercial Port in Museum Artifacts, has been recognized as a standout project in the 2024 new media promotional campaign for Chinese cultural heritage.

The video was selected from among a competitive field of 301 projects and is one of only four works from Zhejiang to be honored.

The project was jointly created by Wenzhou Museum, the Wenzhou internet information office, and Wenzhou-Kean University. It is designed to showcase Wenzhou's storied past as a thriving port city and its modern-day status as a hub of happiness and prosperity.

The video also aims to bolster the global stature of the Shuomen Ancient Port Site, spotlighted among the "Top 10 New Archaeological Discoveries of 2022".

Narrated by a foreign scholar, the video explores the Shuomen Ancient Port Site and draws on Wenzhou Museum's artifacts to trace the city's historical trajectory as a bustling trade center.

It weaves a narrative that connects Wenzhou's ancient heritage to its contemporary cultural identity, characterized by inclusivity, openness, and a pioneering spirit. This engaging media piece invites global audiences to discover the rich cultural legacy and the enduring influence of Wenzhou's port culture.
