Wenzhou-Kean University has launched its first-ever US-China Youth Exchange Season, marking a significant milestone in cultural exchanges between the two countries.

The event, which began on July 2, has brought 19 US teenagers from Kentucky to Wenzhou, offering them a firsthand experience of China's rich cultural tapestry.

As the university celebrates its 10th anniversary, it reflects on a decade of fostering Sino-US educational collaboration through various international forums and conferences.

The opening ceremony underscored the importance of exchanging knowledge and facilitating cross-cultural understanding. Wang Beijiao, the university's director-general, bestowed the title of US-China Cultural Exchange Ambassadors upon the young participants as part of the proceedings.

The exchange season will continue until August, with Wenzhou-Kean University set to welcome two more American delegations. The Kentucky group, being the first, has already engaged in numerous activities, including visits to local cultural landmarks and interactive events that have deepened their understanding of Chinese culture and solidified friendships.

A US student, Veronica, shared her reflections at the exchange meeting, drawing parallels between the curiosity and kindness of Chinese students and her peers back home.
