After completing the training camp in Chengdu on July 20, the Chinese badminton team flew to France for final preparations ahead of the Paris Olympics. On the team is Wenzhou native and world champion Zheng Siwei.

The Chinese badminton team has secured full participation in the Paris Olympics, with 16 athletes competing in 10 events across five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.

Zheng and his partner Huang Yaqiong from Quzhou will compete as the top seeds in mixed doubles. Their group includes pairs from South Korea, France, and Indonesia. The duo currently ranks first globally. At the previous Tokyo Olympics, Zheng and Huang won the silver medal in mixed doubles.

Born in 1997 in Lucheng district, Zheng Siwei began playing badminton in primary school. In 2005, he moved to the Zhejiang provincial team, and he joined the national team in 2013.
