The first trial operation train G55701 departed from Tonglu East Station in Hangzhou on July 30, marking the beginning of the trial operation phase for the newly constructed Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway.
The train headed towards Wenzhou North Station, conducting timetable parameter tests, signaling the countdown to the full operation of the Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway.
The trial operation will utilize no less than one month to conduct various tests, including timetable parameter testing, fault simulation, emergency rescue drills, and on-schedule operation tests. It is expected that the railway will start official operation by the end of August.
The Hangzhou-Wenzhou High-Speed Railway connects with the Hefei-Hangzhou High-Speed Railway at Tonglu East Station, the Shanghai-Kunming High-Speed Railway at Yiwu Station, and the Hangzhou-Shenzhen Railway at Wenzhou North Station, which is an important part of the Yangtze River Delta intercity railway network.
Once operational, the railway will link rich tourism resources in Hangzhou, Jinhua, Taizhou, and Wenzhou. It will bring regions like Xianju, Pan'an, Dongyang, and Pujiang into the high-speed rail era.
This project is significant for enhancing railway infrastructure connectivity. It will help create a "one-hour transportation circle" in Zhejiang province, facilitate travel for residents along the route, promote tourism resource development and industrial growth, and support Zhejiang's high-quality development and integration into the Yangtze River Delta.
