Tanfeng Xinyuan, a residential community in Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, recently set up a garbage classification experience center to encourage residents to sort their household waste and protect environment.

The 60-square-meter center provides books and pictures to educate people about garbage classification and offers interactive games for residents to experience the classification in a fun way.

High-tech element is a highlight of the center, as the center is equipped with a large touch-screen electronic book introducing the meanings and methods of garbage classification. There is also an LED screen that displays a promotional garbage classification video.

Some handicrafts made by local residents using waste materials are also on display.
