"Wow, the throughput of Majishan Port is really amazing!" acclaimed Eric Essuman, a Ghanaian pilot, when visiting the marine department in Shengsi county, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, on July 24.
Eric is a member of the delegation from the Republic of Ghana who came to Shengsi looking to strengthen Sino-Ghanaian relations within the framework of the Belt and Road.
The delegation was briefed on Shengsi’s maritime situation and the regulation of cargo vessels in Majishan Port.
The delegation spoke highly of the maritime services in Shengsi and expressed hope to strengthen cooperation with the marine authorities of Zhoushan in order to enhance their country's ship management and piloting services.
The Republic of Ghana is the second largest economy in West Africa and an important participant in the Belt and Road Initiative.
