A banquet was held near a collection of home stays in Zhujiajian Island, Zhoushan, on Aug 28, in honor of the Zhejiang Gourmet Festival themed on "hundreds of counties, thousands of cuisines".

At the banquet, a 60-plus-meter table was filled to the brim with 110 specialty dishes cooked by chefs from 11 cities in the province, and another 22 tables offered a variety of local dishes from said cities.

The event also featured food and commodity exhibitions, intangible cultural heritage performances and other activities.

The festival, which was launched in August 2018, has been strongly promoted by the Zhejiang provincial government as a way to promote local cuisine.
