Zhoushan launched its annual quality month activities on Sept 4 in Putuo district.

The quality month this year, with a slogan of "together we promote high-quality development, together we enjoy high-quality life", will include many activities designed to raise public awareness of high-quality development, said local authorities.

A city-level quality management training class was launched at the opening ceremony. Over 150 local enterprises above designated size (with annual main business revenue of no less than 20 million yuan, or $2.81 million) attended the class.

According to local authorities, in recent years, the city has attached great importance to product quality and safety, and has issued a series of relevant programs to carry out in-depth quality improvement activities.

Zhoushan is already strong when it comes to product quality and safety, and there have been no major problems in this regard for several years, said officials.
