A hiking activity will be held on Nov 10 on Xiushan Island in Daishan county, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province.
The activity will consist of three hikes – a family hike with a route of 6 kilometers, a medium-intensity hike with a route of 10 km, and an advanced hike with a route of 15 km.
Local authorities said that approximately 1,000 people are expected to participate, with 300 doing the family hike, 450 doing the medium-intensity hike, and 250 doing the advanced hike.
The routes of the activity will pass through major scenic spots on the island.
All of the groups will start from a single park, known for its large mud pits.
The family hike will pass through a wetland park, the medium-intensity group will pass through a homestay village, and the advanced hike will pass through a total of nine scenic spots, including a park, a mountain, two paved coastal walkways, and a beach.
Xiushan Island, a famous scenic area under the jurisdiction of Daishan county in Zhoushan, is famous for its beautiful coastlines with a total length of approximately 40 km and beaches covering an area of nearly 500,000 square meters.
