Zhou Shan in Zhejiang province recently formulated and promulgated the "Zhoushan Standard Innovation Contribution Award Management Measures," which will reward major contributors in the field of standardization with a maximum prize of 500,000 yuan ($68,691.30).
This policy will come into effect on Dec 3 this year.
According to the measures, the prize consists of a Major Contribution Award and an Excellent Contribution Award, which are evaluated every two years. The Major Contribution Award is limited to a maximum of three winners each time, with a reward of 500,000 yuan each, while the Excellent Contribution Award is limited to a maximum of five winners each time, with a reward of 200,000 yuan each.
The city has in recent years been implementing a standardization strategy. It has participated in the formulation of two international standards as well as led or participated in the formulation of 226 national standards, 67 industry standards, and 69 local standards in the province.
After the implementation of the management measures, authorities will promptly formulate and promulgate the "Standard Innovation Contribution Award Evaluation Implementation Rules" and will start the evaluation work for the first award next year.
