A drone recently took off from the eastern China drone base in Jinshan district, Shanghai and headed to Zhoushan in Zhejiang province for airworthiness and testing.

The base is the only civil drone pilot aviation test area in the country that focuses on island applications. It has obtained flight permits for three logistics transport routes: Jinshan to Dinghai, Jinshan to Huaniao, and Jinshan to Sijiao.

It is now entering the stage of commercial exploration and strives to officially begin low-altitude logistics transport in the island area next year.
