Strawberries in Dinghai district, Zhoushan recently hit the market, bringing a sweet respite amid the cold winter weather.

The district, which has been growing strawberries for more than 20 years, is home to 355 mu (23.67 hectares) of strawberry plantations that can yield 533 metric tons of the fruit per year.

Organic fertilizers such as rapeseed cake and silkworm feces were used to cultivate the strawberries. As a result, the strawberries have a vibrant color, large and plump berries, and are sweet and juicy.
