The 4th Zhejiang Marine Games will be held in Shengsi county, Zhouzhan on May 18.

The quadrennial sports extravaganza, which will run until June 16, features 14 competitive events and one exhibition event, including circuminsular road cycling, beach volleyball, soccer, surfing, and open water swimming.

Anticipating over 7,000 attendees, the event will also feature an array of cultural festivities and a diverse range of sea-based experiential activities.

The event was launched in 2011 and the previous three editions were held in Zhoushan's Daishan county, Putuo district, and Taizhou, respectively.

The event has been playing a crucial role in showcasing Zhoushan's marine resources and advancing the in-depth integration of marine sports, maritime culture, and marine tourism, according to authorities.
