A delegation of 25 overseas Chinese-language media outlets from 18 countries gathered in Zhoushan in East China's Zhejiang province from April 26 to 28, to witness the city's economic and cultural progress.
Delegates visited key sites, including the Zhoushan grain industrial park and Zhengshan Manufacturing Innovation, to observe the city's role as a global commodities hub.
They also visited cultural landmarks like the Xinjian village, and Dongsha ancient town, experiencing intangible heritage such as traditional boat models, fishing knots, and puppet shows.
Huang Mei, deputy editor-in-chief of La Voz China, said, "We promote Zhoushan to global audiences to attract more international attention."
Guo Jing, editor-in-chief of Europe Huaxin Journal, admired the Zhoushan Cross-Sea Bridge, calling it "a testament to the city's perseverance".
During the event, six media representatives were appointed as "Zhoushan Overseas Communication Ambassadors" to share more of the city's stories.
