Visitors gathered on Aug 9 on the sandy shore of Cezi Island, Dinghai district, Zhoushan, East China's Zhejiang province, to enjoy dishes featuring the miiuy croaker.
The event featured a distinctive island seafood feast and a singing contest, with 10 contestants advancing to the finals.
In recent years, Cen'gang subdistrict in Dinghai has leveraged its proximity to cross-sea bridges and the island's ever-popular miiuy croaker to draw tourists. The fish, prized for its tender texture and rich flavor, has become a local culinary icon.
Combining seafood dining with cultural activities, the area has been busy developing an integrated fishing, cultural, and tourism economy.
