An exhibition featuring a series of paintings on natives of Zhejiang from all walks of life is on display at Zhejiang Art Museum in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Organizers including Zhejiang Federation of Literary and Art Circles, Zhejiang Artists Association and Zhejiang Art Museum invite 16 artists to create artworks for the exhibition. All the paintings depict the different generations of people living in Zhejiang.

Showcasing the lives of ordinary people, the exhibition portrays the living environments in Zhejiang and people's industrious and brave spirits.

Painter Peng Jian drew a picture of an old village official for the exhibition. He said, "I want my painting to reflect the characteristics of farmers in the new era."

Ren Zhizhong had considered creating paintings for teachers for several years. So far he has completed four which capture the lives of the teachers.

The firefighters in Yuan Jinhua's painting look resolute and firmly shelter the public from dangers.

The group led by Zhou Gang from China Academy of Art focused on people who are devoted to Zhejiang's water movement. Lucid waters and lush mountains, as well as touching figures around the province are vividly revealed in the paper.
