A group of foreign reporters visited the Linglongwan art village in Jiaxing, East China's Zhejiang province, on June 16.

The visit was part of a group interview in Jiaxing and Shanghai organized by the Information Office of the State Council.

More than 40 reporters from overseas media, including ORF, O Globo, Kyodo News and New York Times, visited historical sites, rural areas and businesses in Jiaxing and Shanghai to better understand the 100-year history of the CPC.

At Linglongwan, reporters appreciated farmers' paintings, local boat craftsmanship and traditional sweet snacks.

The neat village environment stood out.

"After years of rapid economic development, it is interesting to note that China is placing more emphasis on environmental issues, on combating pollution," says Frederic Schaeffer from Les Echos.

In addition to the village, reporters also made their way to Ginkgo Swan Lake, which is a fish pond-turned sci-tech innovation site, as well as the smart bed manufacturer Keeson Technology and the fashion designer and producer EP Yaying in Jiaxing.
