A group of journalists recently embarked on a five-day trip exploring Zhejiang's high-quality development in building a demonstration zone for common prosperity in the province.

They visited Zhili town in Huzhou's Wuxing district on July 13.

Zhili is home to the largest children's wear industrial cluster in China. A complete industrial chain integrating design, processing, marketing, fabric supply, logistics, and warehousing has formed in the town.

The town currently houses more than 14,000 children's wear companies and over 8,000 e-commerce businesses. In 2020, the annual output of children's clothing in the town exceeded 1.45 billion pieces (sets), generating about 65 billion yuan ($10 billion) in sales revenue, which accounted for two thirds of the domestic market share, official statistics show.

In mid-September last year, Zhili was designated as a national pilot zone for market procurement trade. Statistics show that more than 8,400 declarations for exports under the trade model have been made in Zhili as of June 25, with commodities like children's wear, textiles and toys being exported to 126 counties worldwide.
