Jinhua in Zhejiang province started a promotional event called Jinhua Week at the Shanghai International Convention Center in Shanghai on July 18.

Chen Long, Party secretary of Jinhua, thanked Jinhua natives and people from all walks of life in Shanghai who have supported the development of Jinhua.

Chen said that furthering cooperation with Shanghai and integrating into the Yangtze River Delta are necessary for the city's high-quality development.

He added that last year's edition of Jinhua Week helped Jinhua achieve closer cooperation in industry, innovation, and service sharing.

"By creating the best business environment and offering the most efficient services, Jinhua will strive to be a top destination for investors and outstanding talent looking to start a business or live a comfortable life."

Cooperation agreements on 16 projects involving regional cooperation, technological cooperation, and major industries were signed at the opening ceremony of the event.

Jinhua and Shanghai

Both Shanghai and Jinhua not only share similar tastes in food, but also boast similar cultures and close economic and trade ties.

Incomplete statistics show that Shanghai currently is home to more than 3,000 high-level talents from Jinhua, who serve as an important bridge between the two cities.

Jinhua is a place of reform and innovation and an important city in the Belt and Road Initiative and the YRD. In recent years, an increasing number of technologies and projects from Shanghai are being introduced to Jinhua.

Some Jinhua villages are known as "Shanghai villages" and some Shanghai natives have referred to Jinhua as their "spiritual home", demonstrating the close partnership between Shanghai and Jinhua.
