Zhejiang swimmer claims 4 gold medals at National Games

On Sept 21, Wang Shun, from East China's Zhejiang province, bagged gold at the men's 200-meter freestyle swimming contest at China's 14th National Games in Xi'an, capital of Northwest China's Shaanxi province.

Wang completed the race in one minute and 46.14 seconds.

Hong Jinquan, another swimmer from Zhejiang, claimed a bronze medal at the contest.

This is the fourth gold Wang has won at this year's National Games, bringing Wang's total gold medals tally at the National Games to 13, the highest among all Chinese swimmers.

Seven out of the top eight swimmers at the semi-final race for the men's 200-meter freestyle contest are from Zhejiang. Five of these seven Zhejiang athletes, namely Fei Liwei, Chen Ende, Xu Yizhou, Hong Jinquan, and Wang Hao, are aged below 18.
