The Cao Cao 60, Geely's first customized model, was chosen on Monday as the official vehicle of the 19th Asian Games, which will kick off in September in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.

Cao Cao Mobility, Zhejiang Geely Holding Group's ride-hailing subsidiary, has also been chosen to provide professional services for drivers, who will offer their services during the Games.

Transportation is an essential activity that provides access services. The Games are about sports, but they're also an opportunity to present the hosting city's image to the world, said Liu Pengfei, the training director of the operation service group of the Asian Games traffic command center.

"On one hand, we train the chosen drivers to help them better understand the specific transportation services of the Asian Games and the Asian Paralympic Games and enhance their service awareness and ability to provide safe, convenient, green, warm service for those who will come to Zhejiang," Liu said.

"On the other hand, we hope that the spirit of the Asian Games can be felt through warm and thoughtful transportation services."

So far, around 1,000 drivers who hold online car-hailing driver qualification certificates and are between 25 and 35 years old, were selected from 16 cities across the country to participate in the professional transportation training at the Zhejiang Institute of Communications in Hangzhou, the main hosting city of the Asian Games.

"They will provide services for all participating delegations, accompanying officials, technical officials, media and Asian Games staff," said Zhu Fugen, dean of the automotive department of the institute.

The institute said it is mandatory for each driver to pass the examination before they can start working for the Asian Games.

"I have learned a lot from the training," said Yuan Yonghui, an experienced driver of seven years. "I have not only learned more about the history and culture of Hangzhou but also a lot about the social etiquette of other countries."

Yuan is a past recipient of the May 1st Labor Medal of Zhejiang Province and has also participated in other large-scale activities such as the BRICS leaders' meeting and Wuzhen Internet Conference.

Zhu said that a set of 14 volumes of teaching materials for the Asian Games was jointly written by the public security department, traffic police department, Asian Games organizing committee, Asian Games command center and scholars from the Zhejiang Institute of Communications to provide specific guidance for transportation services during the Games.

Zhu added that the teaching materials cover courses such as general knowledge of the Games, safe driving, emergency response, national security, anti-terrorism, service etiquette and the culture of other Asian countries.

Cao Cao Auto said that its 60 model is deeply customized for the ride-hailing business. The Cao Cao 60 has a range of 415 kilometers, and its battery swap is reported to take about 60 seconds. The storage space is 500 liters. The vehicle is also equipped with anti-motion sickness technology.
