A float set out from the Ancient City of Taizhou on Aug 14, marking the commencement of a city-wide parade.

The float carried the triumphant Huipu Experiment School's boys' basketball team, victors to the 2022-2023 China Junior Basketball League National Finals.

It has been a successful year for Huipu Experiment School.

In May, the Huipu High School boys' basketball contingent secured their second coveted national championship, etching their names in the annals of sporting history.

Following this, the team's most valuable player, Dan Houran, saw his prowess acknowledged after he was selected for the China Men's Basketball B Team, becoming an emissary in the U19 World Cup arena.

Huipu students Fang Jiachen and Lin Han were drafted into the Chinese Basketball Association, marking Huipu Middle School's first foray into China's highest professional league.

The Huipu Education Group has a strong basketball tradition, with provincial laurels recognizing the achievements of the team even as far back as the 1930s.

In 1989, Huipu Experiment School ascended to the summit of Taizhou's men's basketball hierarchy, a precursor to their provincial dominance in 1991. The zenith of achievement, however, was reached in 2017, when the school clinched its first national championship.

Fostering excellence from the grassroots has long been the cornerstone of Huipu's approach, with the middle school's annual 15 selectees from designated primary schools. This process helps 60 percent of these talented young athletes find their wings within the high school ranks.
