To celebrate the forthcoming 10th anniversary of the World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit, in the ancient water town of Wuzhen, Zhejiang province, a worldwide invitation to share their cyberspace experiences has been launched.

The activity celebrates a decade of progress made by the conference and its profound impact on the internet and beyond, and is inviting netizens to share their personal stories on the development of cyberspace over that time.

Those wishing to participate in the activity can send their ideas, experiences and memories through texts, images or videos before Oct 10, and the content will be shared on the WIC's multilingual social media accounts.

Participants will have a chance to win prizes as well as cultural products from the WIC Wuzhen Summit.

More information about how to be a part of the WIC celebration can be found via the QR code at the end of the article.

The WIC Wuzhen Summit has been held since 2014 and provides a platform for communication for internet specialists, technology enterprises, government agencies and academies from home and abroad.

Guests over the years have included senior government officials and industry leaders such as Apple CEO Tim Cook.

At the annual summit, guests get together to exchange opinions about internet governance, with discussions on hot issues in cyberspace such as cybersecurity, e-commerce development, online crackdowns against terrorism and technological innovation.

Some achievements made by the summit have played a big role in improving the quality of people's daily lives. For example, in 2015, just before the opening of the second WIC Wuzhen Summit, WeDoctor, a digital healthcare company established China's first internet hospital in Tongxiang, Zhejiang, which provided telemedicine, online follow-up visits, digital healthcare record sharing, online diagnoses and prescriptions on a large scale.
