Zhejiang Quzhou No 1 Middle School

Founded in 1902, the Zhejiang Quzhou No 1 Middle School boasts a rich culture and competent management.

Covering an area of 240 mu (16 hectares), the school accommodates more than 2,100 students in 54 classes, and employs 237 people, including one "national role model teacher", one "national outstanding teacher", four "provincial-level prestigious teachers", and two foreign teachers.

The school also houses 17 classrooms for elective courses, six computer labs, four science rooms, three digital reading rooms, several exhibition halls, an indoor stadium, a fitness room, and rooms for practicing piano and dance.

The middle school boasts a serene environment and elegant architecture, and all of its buildings, roads, and ornamental stones either carry one of the school's previous names or are named after renowned alumni, including Wang Fuxiong, a botanist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Fang Guangtao, a linguist and academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Jin Yong, a writer, journalist, and social activist.

Zhejiang Quzhou No 1 Middle School was listed as one of nine key middle schools in Zhejiang in 1953 and has also been granted the titles of Century-Old Prestigious School in Zhejiang and First-Class Middle School in Zhejiang.
