Grandpa Confucius is a popular cartoon figure who based on the great Chinese philosopher Confucius (551-479 BC) and recently a 24-hour Grandpa Confucius's Book Store was opened to the public during the Spring Festival holiday -- in downtown Quzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province -- according to local media reports on Feb 19.

For tourists, the book store provides a window to better learn Quzhou -- a city boasts a long history, rich culture and pleasant living environment -- and appreciate the characteristic culture of the city.

A book corner in the book store also provides high-quality books for tourists and locals, allowing them to take time out from the frenetic pace of modern time.

In the intangible cultural heritage hall of the book store, paper cuttings, white porcelain and other handicrafts and intangible cultural items are displayed, including postcards and creative cultural products featuring Quzhou's history as a city and its modern creativity.
