Quzhou to hold 2022 China Intl Specialty Paper Exhibition

The "2022 China International Specialty Paper Exhibition", which was scheduled to be held on Nov 2, will be postponed to the middle of December in Quzhou, Zhejiang province.

This year's exhibition is themed on expanding opening-up and cooperation and promoting the development of the specialty paper industry. A series of activities such as trade exhibitions, conferences and academic exchanges will be held during the exhibition.

The exhibition consist of four exhibition areas, including a special paper exhibition area, enterprise exhibition area, material and equipment exhibition area, and specialty paper products online trading area, covering an area of 3,000 square meters. More than 80 exhibitors will be invited and more than 100 booths will be provided.

Quzhou is a well-known specialty paper production base in China and is home to Asia's largest decorative base paper production base.

In 2021, the city's specialty paper output reached 2 million metric tons, accounting for more than 25 percent of the national total. Its products are widely used in medicine and healthcare, food and catering, electronics, home decoration and building materials.

The city was home to 73 above-designated-size enterprises in the paper industry in 2021, generating a total industrial output value of 25.07 billion yuan ($3.44 billion), a year-on-year increase of 32.4 percent.

In 2021, 899,900 tons of pulp were imported into the city, producing 2.32 billion yuan in goods for export, up 58 percent year-on-year.

From January to September, the city's 83 above-designated-size enterprises in the specialty paper industry reached an output value of 20 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 7.76 percent.
