The "Quzhou Confucian Merchants Promotion Association" held a ceremony to unveil a statue of Confucius in Quzhou on March 14.

At the event, a statue of Confucius carved from wood, standing approximately 2.3 meters tall and weighing around 1 metric ton, was erected in the lobby of the association's building.

The statue of Confucius features a towering forehead, a flowing beard, and a long sword at his waist. With a slight bow and hands raised in a gesture of respect, the overall style is both elegant and modest.

During the event, Kong Lingli, a 76th-generation descendant of Confucius, delivered a lecture titled "Honoring Virtue with Etiquette: The New Era of Chinese Filial Piety Culture."

He comprehensively interpreted the essence and connotation of Chinese filial piety culture from various angles, including material support, spiritual reverence, and moral inheritance.
