A special job fair for people with disabilities was held at the human resources market in Keqiao district, Shaoxing, on March 19.

Over 20 companies, including Zhejiang Yingfeng Technology Co and Shaoxing Keqiao Dental Hospital, offered jobs.

Later this month, the municipal disabled persons' federation will also cooperate with other departments to launch a job fair offering over 300 career opportunities for people with disabilities.

"Opening up a direct recruitment channel for people with disabilities and employers is an important measure to ensure equal and full participation of people with disabilities in society," said an official of the municipal disabled persons' federation.

According to the provincial government, the city's goal this year is to create stable employment opportunities for 350 people with disabilities.

Official statistics show that there are currently 312,500 people with disabilities in our city.

Last year, the city completed the renovation of 70 public places with barrier-free facilities. This year, the city plans to renovate 85 public service places to make them barrier-free.
