Zhuji home to 3 provincial intangible cultural heritage workshops

The Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism announced the first batch of provincial-level traditional craft workshops and intangible cultural heritage workshops on April 22.

Three units recommended by Zhuji county-level city in Shaoxing were selected for the list.

The "Tongshan Shaojiu" Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop is run by the Zhuji Tongshan Sorghum Liquor Factory and is located in Tangren village, Tongshan town, known as the hometown of Chinese liquor. With more than 100 years of experience in brewing Tongshan Shaojiu, the workshop adheres to a craftsmanship spirit and traditional techniques. It has an annual production of 300-500 metric tons and an annual output value of 60 million yuan ($8.68 million).

The "Yuehong Gongfu Tea" Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop is run by the Shaoxing Yuejiang Tea Industry Co and is located in Xinshangquan village, Dongbaihu town, Zhuji. The workshop covers an area of 5,100 square meters and includes a museum exhibition area, an ancient tea cellar, and a tea garden. In 2022, it produced over 10 tons of tea, with an output value of nearly 12 million yuan.

The "Zhuji Rice Cake" Provincial Intangible Cultural Heritage Workshop is run by the Zhuji Jinma Niangao Factory and is located in Madian village, Zhuji. With the enterprise's continuous expansion, the factory has raised more than 40 million yuan to build a modern cold chain, environmental storage, quality control facilities, and high-standard food processing plants. All the facilities have now been put into use. In 2022, the workshop achieved sales revenue of nearly 30 million yuan.
