Keqiao district in Shaoxing continues to optimize its business environment, nurturing and expanding market entities, local media reported on June 27.

As of the end of May, the total number of market entities operating in the district had surpassed 180,000, with 67,900 of them being enterprises, more than any other district in Shaoxing.

The district market supervision bureau has focused on registration and the registration window, promoting online registration and bringing the process of starting a business online.

The time needed to start a business has already been reduced by more than half, with processing time reduced to 4 hours or less.

When applying for a business license, operators now only need to submit their information once, and multiple pieces of information are collected and synchronized. In addition, the bureau has integrated electronic seals and signature services, enabling one-click integrated processing and quick access to business operation.

Data shows that there have been 13,500 market entities established in the district this year, representing a growth of 9.8 percent over last year. "We will continue to deepen reforms, reduce burdens, enhance services, promote convenience in registration, and focus on optimizing the business environment," said an authority with the district market supervision bureau.
