2016 Zhejiang-Taiwan Cooperation Week underway
The 2016 Zhejiang-Taiwan Week got underway on Sept 21 in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, aimed at accelerating exchanges and cooperation on economy and trade, and further deepening the province's innovation-driven strategy.
The event centers on mutual connections between Taiwan-related business demonstration districts and some key industries, including intelligent equipment, health and finance.
The week on trade and economy, supported by Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council and Zhejiang provincial government, has one main session in Hangzhou and three parallel sessions in Ningbo, Wenzhou and Jiaxing.
Hangzhou will host the opening and signing ceremonies, promotion and interaction on cross-border e-commerce, information, health, cultural and creative industries, characteristic towns and the technology and innovation corridor.
In Ningbo, there will be a symposium on intelligent equipment. As the birthplace of China's private economy, Wenzhou will hold a forum on innovation and development in the private sector. Jiaxing will hold a series of activities on innovation and business startups on the basis of Jiaxing-Taiwan cooperation.
