Shengzhou targets overseas talents for further development
Shengzhou, a county-level city in East China's Zhejiang province held an innovation and entrepreneurship competition in Frankfurt, Germany on June 9 and set up a work station there in a bid to attract more professionals from abroad.
It is the first time that Shengzhou has organized a competition of this kind outside China. In addition to promoting the favorable business environment of the city, the event was also aimed at recruiting high-caliber talents from around the globe to start businesses in Shengzhou.
A total of 19 people participated in the competition. A project featuring big data analysis stood out from nine quality candidates who had made it through to the second round and won the chance to enter the final, which is scheduled to take place in Shengzhou at the end of June.
In the final, the winner will receive financial support and business cooperation opportunities, but the other participants may also receive business opportunities if companies think they are promising.
After the competition, the Shengzhou government made an introduction of the city's talent policy and announced the setup of a work station in Frankfurt. 20 entrepreneurs from the city had face-to-face discussions with European participants.
