Building overseas demonstration zones for economic and trade cooperation involved in BRI
Based on Wenzhou's overseas economic and trade service system, the city will launch more favorable policies on planning guides, funding guides and research and development (R&D) innovation support. It aims to build two new overseas economic and trade cooperation zones by 2020.
Implementing the plan for developing local multinational companies
Taking advantage of leading multinational companies in the city, Wenzhou will support leading companies and eligible medium-sized and small enterprises to build production bases, research institutes, design centers and marketing networks in overseas countries, to foster a group of local transnational companies with global resources and the ability to participate in global chain division.
Improving the opening-up of airport and port
Wenzhou will further improve the internationalization of Longwan International Airport to upgrade it into a hub airport in the southeastern coastal areas. Wenzhou Port will also be opened up further by enhancing cooperation with Zhoushan and Yiwu ports.
Preparing for World Wenzhounese Conference
Wenzhou will well gear up for the World Wenzhounese Conference, to summarize its experience of opening-up over the past four decades, optimize the communication platform for Wenzhou people, and intensify ties with overseas Wenzhou people, seeking joint efforts to boost Wenzhou's development.
Promoting Wenzhou-Kean University into a model of Chinese-foreign cooperation in running schools
Wenzhou-Kean University, crucial for Wenzhou to propel education internationalization, will be built into a top global university and serve as a model for Sino-US cooperation in running schools, with new detailed plans that can be followed.
