BRI scholars inspect social governance in Huzhou
Anji, a mountainous county in East China's Zhejiang province and birthplace of the "Two Mountains" Theory – in which water and mountains are treated as invaluable assets – received 60 guests from home and abroad on Nov 17.
Among the visitors was a group of scholars from countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative looking to gain a better understanding of the country's environmental protection measures and social governance.
In Anji's Yucun village, foreign guests were taken to places such as a police station and a nursing center for the elderly where innovative measures on governance have been implemented.
The group also visited Zhili town in Huzhou, the global capital of children's clothing, where they saw a well-preserved village, an automatic production line run by Zhejiang Tony Electronic Co Ltd, and a building which housed hundreds of children's clothing stores.
